RANGE OF HARDWARE OPTIONS
KEEpad gives you a range of hardware options and the flexibility you need to use the technology in a wide range of contexts, from small group discussions, to large conferences - From 5 to 5000 (and more).
ResponseCard RF (Radio Frequency)
This radio-based option is perfect for small and large groups alike. Its operating range of 60 metres makes it ideal for all kinds of meeting rooms. 1 USB Radio Frequency receiver is recommended for every 1000 keypads, so if you think you'll sometimes be working in with large groups, then RF is the option for you.
ResponseCard IR (Infra Red)
ResponseCard IR is an infrared option ideal if you're on a tight budget. It works best in smaller meeting rooms or with smaller groups. The IR keypad has a range of 30 metres and a recommended ratio of 70 keypads to 1 USB Infra-Red receiver.
XL Self-Paced Keypad IR (Infra Red)
Using the XL Self-Paced keypad, participants work at their own pace - navigating to any question in any order, and then selecting a response. Upon completion of the assignment, each participant independently transmits their entire set of responses to TurningPoint XL for immediate analysis and automatic grading. This system allows an individual to work independently of others and even remotely (ie outside of the meeting or classroom).
vPad
KEEpad supplies a software-based option which works on PDAs, laptops and PCs when they are connected to a network. Users can use the PCs or PDAs in the same as using any other response device. There are also additional interactive features including text entry capabilities and text messaging. vPAD also allows each participant to contact the presenter with questions.
TurningPoint 2006 is also compatible with hardware systems from some other manufacturers. Please contact KEEpad for more information.
